The Gift of Surgery.
Wait a minute…but he already knows what he is going to get. What kind of a gift is that?
On a more serious note, this is a a rather sad commentary about the state of wait listing. There used to be a time when everything could be done faster and more efficiently but as the population has grown and the complexity of the system has exploded, so too have the wait times. I hope in my lifetime that we as future health care professionals and as a generation of forward thinking, technology-minded individuals, can come together and bring ourselves to bear on this still-troubling problem.
